Carmaxcares Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback
CarMax is America's largest used-car retailer and a Fortune 500 company. The corporate entity behind the formation of CarMax was Circuit City Stores, Inc. The first CarMax used-car store opened in September 1993, 1.7 miles (2.7 km) from Circuit City's corporate offices in Richmond, Virginia. As of November 30, 2018, CarMax operated 195 locations in 95 television media markets. While CarMax stores focus on marketing used vehicles, the company acquired its first new car franchise with Chrysler Corporation in 1996. By 1999, it added new vehicle franchises for Mitsubishi Motors, Toyota, and Nissan as well. As of November 2018, the only CarMax new vehicle dealerships that remain are the two Toyota stores located in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and Laurel, Maryland.
Never trust any company by seeing their most paid advertisements. Carmax fu*k peoples by offering them the lowest price for their car when they want to sell and demands almost 50% more for the low standard car they have. This is the biggest sucks of this (Carmax) organization. Such big organizations must have to help poor peoples by offering them a good price when they want to sell their product (CAR) and demand a reasonable price for their showcase cars.
One of the frustrated users of Carmax said "I had to sell my very well maintained 12-year-old Camry. Took it to Carmax and they offered $2000. The next thing I did was, took a couple of pictures of the car, put an ad in Craigslist with asking price of $5900 and in the first weekend it was sold for $5500. The first person who saw it purchased it - cash. Single owner car, ALL records maintained — had one blemish — an accident that was repaired by Toyota authorized body shop with ALL OEM. In fact, had I haggled and waited for the next potential customer, I could probably have sold it for the asking price. Bottom line — if your car is in good condition, you will lose several thousand dollars by selling it to Carmax (or any used car dealer)".
Another irritated user said "Don't buy any car from this dealership!! I bought a 2012 S550 with 35k miles. Right from start, the car had transmission problems. I took it to Benz of Monterey for repair. They paid for it. Six months later the engine light came up. I took to 3 different places no one could tell me why. I took back to Benz of Monterey and the technician told me found debris in the engine. It means the car had engine problems and was unsuccessfully repaired. It got so bad, that last year I bought 2016 S550 from Benz of Monterey. They sold me junk for $35k. Don't buy a car from this dealership".
